Try your hand at shucking sea urchins, cleaning salmon, making salmon roe, and grilling atka mackerel, chan chan yaki!

Discover fall on Rebun Island! Take a day to explore the island of Rebun with a seasoned local guide! "Shucking sea urchin" can be experienced as late as September. After you have enjoyed "watching the salmon swim upstream", help clean salmon and learn how to make salmon roe pickled in soy sauce.

Sarufutsu boasts the largest haul of wild scallops in the country! The Marugoto-kan roadside station serves live scallops that can be grilled and eaten on the spot, and scallop donburi. Scallops that have been nurtured over a period of 5 years in the Sea of Okhotsk are large and plump! You can even try your hand at shucking scallops.

Ice-cream Making at Letrier Studio

Visitors can learn how to make original ice cream at Letrier Studio. Fresh milk made on the owner′s farm is used to make additive-free cheeses, and gelato, and is sold along with beef and whey pork. There is a café on site that serves raclette, pizza and curry.
